Hey folks! Been a while since i updated my journal.
So just thought i would make an announcement here about my job status. I recently got hired at Storm lion in Singapore and they are affiliated with Radical Comics in LA. Its really an honor to be part of the family at Storm Lion and i would like to thank Edmund Shern for the invite.Looking towards the new working environment,work mates and a new country.

So with  that said, it means i will have to cut down most of my freelance but feel free to note me or mail me for any sort of interest.

I might be away from DA for a while until i settle down in Singapore which means updates will have to wait a lil more longer. Sorry guys but i promise to update once i have the chance. I have a bunch of works waiting to be posted argh!!.

Things happen and changed. Life is not all sunshine like duh, but we gotta move on.
I'm curently still working on my collaborative website with (kicka$$ artist) and hopefully
we could launch it real soon.

I would also like to let everyone or anyone who are interested in me for work/job/commissions/freelancing/etc,since im a lil
free now.Just hit me a note or an email at thamhoimun@gmail.com . You could also find out about the rates from me personally coz i dont enjoy listing out a price list here like a restaurant menu. So just ask me about it, i will reply to all if not most of my mails especially if its work. Yeap, so any work? mail me, who knows.

I must note that i do not take up just any kind of work but no harm asking since i dont charge money for answering mails XD
but i do prefer paid jobs at the moment.

Well its been a wild year of 2008 and Xams is just around the corner.. Not updated this journal in ages..

Let's see..what's new..

1) I'm planning to attend  San Diego Comic Con Next year SDCC 2009 (Fingers Crossed)

2) I wanna get a pet doggy XD.. Maybe a mini Schnauzer.. But i dont have a place for it Orz..im a lil crazy about dogs lately.. $__$

3) People have been asking me if i would do commissions.. I dont mind and am considering since it need to save up a load of money for the Comic Con.. So i would like to know from you guys..what kind of stuff would you guys like commisioned and what are the rates you guys would like to pay for..its just a small survey so you guys can just be honest.You guys can also throw in links of the kind of work you guys would like either from the web or from my gallery.

Note; So first and foremost i do have a job now and that would be my top priority so regarding commissions..i'll only be able to work on it if time permits and weekends.. so dont worry about it Dwayne LOL!! This is also IF i do take commissions which is still under consideration now..

Okay! so the results are out! CGLand swept almost all of the top 20! I think they rock man! LOL! But i do question the Winner for the 2D though. Not what i expected the judges to go for, but results are results and i respect em! It was a great experience after all especially making it to the top 50 and to be there with big names like Jedi Hindu, Njoo, All the CGland Korea artists, Robogabo.. it just makes everything worthwhile. So congratulations to the Winners and the top20!! I hope to see more great works in the future wars to come.

P/S Sorry for the lack of updates.. I've been too busy..just too busy!!!

Have any of you guys thought of it? Why is it that Some ppl just seem to get whatever they want anyhow they want and be the happiest person in this world. Some on the other hand will work like slaves and lived their lives like zombies just to only make a simple living. Sometimes working hard does not even guarantee anything too.

Never have i taken for granted anything that i have and gotten coz i have worked my ASS of even for "simple" things.. I appreciate that i have my life, health, passion. Im sure many ppl just wakes up in the morning an head on with their daily routine without appreciating anything that came by but just seems like they get everything they want.You name it, materialistic stuff/non matrialistic/tangible/none tangible..everything.. Pouring it like free flow cash without even having to ask. Materialistic stuff is never an issue, it is the other kinda stuff.

No one said life was fair, yea i know. But im seriously getting real tired of my life especially of late.. PPl who i thought cared does not really care. Im weak and tired, what is happening? Is life always this difficult? So many things i,ve tried to work for but it just always seem like i bare a curse or some kind that keeps me away from anything "decent" happening to me.. all i get is always dissapointment upon dissapointment. So many times! Countless..that i come to give up on things like Hope, Luxury, Luck. I know no meaning of those things anymore.. Seems like only previledge ppl are eligible for that. Makes me feel like im not even human.. Humans should the very least experience up's and downs... where are my up's? Is it that i missed it? It's there but im not aware of it? Give me a sign damn it!

Im not looking for sympathy. Never intended too. I just want to make a point here. Take nothing for granted because there are some who are not even half as lucky as those previledge are..

Life seems like a joke to me sometimes.. what is the meaning of your's??

Guys! im so sorry for the lack of updates lately..Im very busy at the moment, office work/Dominance war and stuff.. so i wont be posting soon at least until the War is over..

edit: Okay! War is over.. so im looking forward to be active back here again and uploads are on the way..aswell as some of my Dominance War stuff(maybe i'll upload a few here too). So hope all ya guys have been good and well. Let's rock Baby!! To those who i have contacted to have some work done, sorry for the delay as the War taken up most of my time..Now that it's over i'll try my very best to deliver.sorry once again.

Haha! i'm back! Phuket was great!! awesome! very nice place with big crowds... It's actually my first time to another country apart from S'pore so it's a cool experience either way... Spent most of my money on souvenirs for my colleagues but i enjoyed buying them anyway.. lol! Surprisingly that accommodation in phuket is quite cheap considering it to be a tourist attraction sorta place... The trip there was kinda sickening tho.. i spent half a day i n a private van traveling ... Next time, it'll be the airplane!

So CNY's just around the corner and for chinese it pretty much means you're another year older so time's running out! I'm back for more action...recharged myself so i hope to produce more stuff (hopefully soon) Epic Games! Im coming!!! lol!! to be you Janitor i think Orz.

  I've just updated a few entries and hope you guys dig it.. Im going off to Phuket tmrw so i wont be posting anytime this week.. only will be returning the week after that.. Pray that i do not get bombed in Phuket and not crash on a bus ride too... (its scary thinking about it) But anyway! Happy Chinese New Year to all the Chinese Peeps and a happy holiday to the rest of the world! I'm off to phuket yay!!! Baibai!

I just got my hands on the Collectors edition of UT3... gosh! I tell you..its the most hardcore designed first person shooter ever.. I just love it. This game took 3D to another lvl in gaming and i must say UT3 engine is WICKED... The bonus CD came with History and The Making of UT3. Juicy stuff in there..packed with lots of info and some shots of EPIC GAMES INTERIOR :d. Sad  that my com could not run the game with MAX performance... and all i wanna do now is play UT3 All day long... *wipes drool. James Hawkins... Respects..

Looks like my application failed...orz....LOL i shall not give up! A few days ago i got very tempted to buy a new music CD as i have nothing to listen. The night before i saw the MTV of SAME MISTAKE by James Blunt. I LOVED the MTV... so.....nice. lol Everyone should watch it! Its those very few MTVs i really really enjoy watching tho some mite find it boring. So the next day i happened to bee in a mall and i saw the album.. JAMES BLUNT: ALL THE LOST SOULS! i loved the album title too. I love all the songs in it. Yess i bought it. At first i thought i made the wrong choice buying it cause i've never really liked him before this. But it's really meaningful after listening to the whole thing... it was so emotional that i could've shot myself in the head and died.... James, you're the man..

I gotta work hard man, gotta work double my speed... No one is gonna wait for me.. I must make it there MYSELF! I must! Gotta draw more and Paint more and Eat more! everything more!!! i want more! I'm HUNGRY!!!

End of the year is coming... everyone seems to be up to something except for me. Some leaving the country, some getting married, some moving on to working lives, some are happier now.... some just dont know what they are doing(me).. wait! there is one thing i need to do!

To anyone who still bothers to read anything from me. It's been so long since i've been doing stuff here. Got a job now, not much time for my own stuf so I'm sorry for not posting anything. I'll put up something soon ok, but dont expect anything good at this moment XD.
Life has been weird man... Lots of things happened, things that sucked, aswell as some pretty cool stuff. Wish could spend time doing my own stuf again, but at the moment with my job.... It's quite impossible to even think of what i wana do. Clouded by responsibilty and emotions. But i realised that I've grown not only as an individual but as an 'artist' aswell.

Thanks Sandcastle! thank you for the alarm! It woke me up! I wont say its at the right time but im awake! Thank You! And to one special person to! Thank You yang tak terhingga-hingga! lol!~ wait for me!

Finally! my holidays are here! hahahah... i'm so glad that 1 term of hell in Animation is over. Terrible term i must say. Work load is just more than i ever had, the lvl of stress is magnificently sky high, Financially broke. Just too much! never had such a crazy term b4. Oh well! its over anyway, I'm on a holiday now, thats all that matters.

Now that i have time, i might wanna start a piece of comic, maybe i'll put online in deviant, it all depends on how it works out. The comic would be somethin like Ghost in the shell + Patlabor like. About cops also, and a hell lot of machines, mechs, cool looking fighters and so on. ( i love drawing mechanicals). So if there's any comments, feel free to throw in a few ideas or maybe critique. This is all still in planning! Pre-production stage, so i might even put on the concept arts and sketches or rough thumbs. I really hope this will work because it has just been so long i have not been doin comics. So pls do drop by to keep updated on it ( if u wanna get updates on it that is). Oh well..... thats all for now.

I am now at a state of shuting down my system and rebooting b'coz i'm fallin apart. Im behind schedule on my photography, failed to pass up 1 assignment, marker skills are nothing but ugly doodles and terrible colours. I feel so shity. I tried so hard to achieve a certain level but it's so hard. I think my works now really suck!! Not only my assignments but even my personal works sux. I don't know why. I'm tired, week, out of mana. I hope my holidays come soon so that i can rest. But i'm not sure what will happen to me after resting. I might just get worst than before.. crap

Finally!!!! finally I've updated my artworks. Only a few though, but more to come. I need someone to help me scan my stuff coz i don't have a scanner. So it takes time. Oh yea.. speaking of help, I would like to Thank my classmate Beano / ~Sandcastle who helped me to scan my works....thx Bean!!!!!!.
